The sound of an alarm blaring broke through the silence, weakly I began moving my hand to turn it off, strangely, not finding it, I had to shimmy up a bit to hit it, feeling sluggish in my movements. The blanket over top of me felt so heavy, was I sick? Sitting up I noticed something right away, things seemed, taller. My nearby table was so much taller than it should be, then my eyes looked to the television screen, I could just barely see my reflection on the bottom portion of it, what looked like a young child was staring back at me. I stood up, finding my legs a bit shaky, I didn't stand nearly as tall as I should have. I looked around, everything looked the same, just, I was so much shorter.

I looked back at the television screen, the face that was looking back at me.. It wasn't mine, it was so much younger, and shorter. The hair seemed long too, but I suppose it could have just been because I was shorter now. My brain was starting to spin as I went over scenario's in my head, wondering what could have happened. Was I dreaming? Was I hallucinating? I suppose I really could be that sick, but I didn't feel awful, I just felt.. Sluggish, not quite right, like something was out of place. It would have been likely to be a dream if anything else was changed, but no, everything else was the same, including the cloths I wore the night before, or at least the shirt I was wearing, I was wearing an oversized shirt, my shirt, and only that. I let myself fall onto my rear, which is when I noticed something else, or rather, noticed something was missing. Looking down, I pulled my shirt up, I had to see if my thoughts were correct, I didn't even notice the sound of my door opening.

The door to the room slowly creaked open, as a girl peaked through crevice, seemingly calling out to him - or rather now, her. "Mahiro, are you awake?" She called out. Dressed in what resembled a lab coat, Mihari slowly entered the room with a strange smile on her face - though, that wasn't to last much longer. She was just merely checking on him if her little "Experiment" worked or not. Her eyes darted across the room, seeing the aftermath of her serum; As she set her eyes on the toddler-sized girl, her eyes widened, uncomprehendingly, before the realization set in. Something was... wrong, wasn't it?

Shaking her head, she approached who was once her brother, now reduced to a small girl. Her original experiment was to be change his gender, but this was one consequence that was out of her wildest dreams. She didn't even really know such a side effect was possible - she spent days refining it. But as Mihari blinked again, she did start to see some characteristics of her brother. She slowly spoke, trying to not startle her. "H-Hey... Mahiro?" Mihari gulped, uncertain on how to proceed. Now, normally the serum wouldn't last for all too long, but if this has gone wrong, who knows what else had!?

Originally, she had prepared an variety of clothes and such that originally fit a teenage girl - but with his or her current situation now, she didn't know how else to proceed. She'll just have to see how badly it has affected him.

It wasn't until he directly heard the voice of his sister that his head snapped towards her. A blush quickly overtaking him at the situation he'd been caught in. Instantly he loosened his grip, which allowed his shirt to fall back down, it was so oversized that about half of it was just on the floor, his hands just barely sticking out of the sleeves. He looked at his sister Mihari, and things just felt odd. "Uh.." He said, unsure of what to even say, Mihari looked at him with a confused expression, which only worried him even more because it meant that not even his genius sister knew what had happened with him.

"I wasn't.. I, I haven't.." Worried that Mihari had just come in and seen him doing that, of course by now he knew he was a girl, he'd confirmed as much, but just because he had doesn't mean his sister realized it, after all he was quite young now and even though he looked feminine, being so young meant it wasn't quite as obvious, the hair was doing most of the work and it may have been that long simply because he was smaller now. Looking quite nervous as he sat there on the floor, wondering how his sister would react to this. He had no way to explain it, but perhaps there was some hope, maybe this was some kind of awful dream and his sibling would do something zany or impossible to prove it as such.

Mihari slowly walked over to her, squatting down to attempt to reach her height, though it still did leave quite a bit of space. "Could you try... speaking to me?" She asked, trying to gauge how badly she's been affected. Honestly, In a way, her brother right now really did look quite cute in his toddler girl form... but this wasn't what she wanted. She didn't even really know how to look after a full toddler properly - at least a teenage girl would've been easier since they could actually act on their own!

Shaking her head, she slowly got up, setting aside her coat. "I'll be... right back." Mihari quickly stammered, before rushing off - if there was no cure for her current state, at least she needs to be dressed. She really didn't know what to do, with all her plans in absolute shambles - she had so many ideas in mind for Mahiro, but this wasn't one of them. For now, she left her notes on the top of the table in his room, though it was blank - she intended to take some measurements and notes on his current condition, but it seems the situation was far more critical than she has anticipated.

Unfortunately it seemed that his sister wasn't a dream manifestation as she was acting fairly rational all things considered. "Uh. Okay?" Her voice sounded feminine at least, so likely a girl, even if the wrong age. Mahiro was just coming to grips with this whole situation, he'd been turned into a little girl, why? How? He had no idea. He just sat there as his sister left, alone with his thoughts. Okay, he had to think reasonably about this, though that was difficult when there was seemingly no reasonable explanation for this in the first place. To go from himself, to this, overnight?

Magic was his only excuse, after all, what else could have done this? What's more, the thought had some appeal to it.. He'd seen plenty of shows and manga where someone is given power and a different form to wield it in, sure this was pretty silly, being a little girl, but maybe he had to like, grow into it or something! Sitting there, he wondered what kind of magic he could do? Maybe him changing was the magic he could do, it seemed limited, being able to turn into a young girl, but maybe he just needed to harness it and change back, or to change into something else entirely?

After having rummaged through the Attic desperately looking for anything for him to wear, she eventually emerged back into the room, a couple beads of sweat visible. Mihari had compared her own research, as well as almost every other little trial she'd done, but nothing made sense - it made her a little upset, really, with how wrong she had calculated this specific usage of the serum. She laid the toddler-sized pastel-pink shirt and a pair of pants on Mahiro's bed - it was possibly the only thing that even looked remotely close to fitting her - and turned to him. "O-Okay... I think I owe you an explanation..." She looked at him sheepishly, a little twinge of red in her cheeks.

"So..." She cleared her throat. "Last night, I added a little project of mine to the food... it was intended to turn you back into a girl, as part of a plan to... well, get you more 'acceptable' to society, as a word..." Mihari laughed uncertainly, seeing how he would react. "You turned out a little, um, younger, so to say... I-I'm trying to figure it now right now."

He was a little too lost in his own thoughts when his sister returned, he made no move towards her either, not exactly thrilled to go to the clothing on offer, at least his shirt wasn't so childish looking, even if it pretty much enveloped him completely. "Huh? You did this, you drugged me?!" He exclaimed, all thoughts of him somehow being a magical girl disappeared from his mind as he was told that it was just some kind of experiment by his sister. "I'm not some kind of guinea pig." He stated, pouting at her, it was quite a cute look to see him so annoyed.

"I was perfectly acceptable to society!" He added, not really sure what his sister was getting at, there were tons of people like him all over the world after all, though he did sigh, if his sister was responsible for this, then that likely meant she knew how to undo it, it seemed she hadn't even meant to make him this young in the first place, though the fact that she'd planned on making him into a young, but not as young as he was now, girl at all was annoying.

"Mhm, yep, uh huh, acceptable, huh?" Mihari more or less ignored that quip, continuing to explain herself, trying to work through his questions "Here is the small little issue. On the bad side, there isn't really a cure... but on the brighter side, the effects are temporary! Normally, from what I've tested, it only lasts a week or two..." She winced, anticipating the worst "...But it might last either shorter or a bit longer, judging from my calculations." She intentionally left out the part where it could potentially last over a month, judging by where she'd gone wrong.

She showed him the clothes that she had found in the attic "For now... let's get you dressed, okay? Those clothes aren't exactly fitting on you now." Mihari gestured at the pile of clothes that laid around him. "Besides, you might catch a cold or something - I'm not fully sure what's wrong, anyways, so you'll just have to bear with me for now... I'll try to get you back to normal, but you might be stuck in that for a while."

"Two weeks?! But I'm tiny! How can I do anything like this!" He exclaimed, waving his arms about, with such a large shirt it was like one of those stylized air tube things that people used to advertise stuff. Although when he thought about it, being smaller didn't really stop him from playing games or anything, at least most of them. It might not be the worst thing for a few weeks. Either way he couldn't undo it any sooner so there wasn't much point in continuing to complain about it. Just had to move on and deal with it.

"What, this is fine right? It's not like I'm going anywhere, those clothes.. Are way too girly.." Well the pants were pants, but the pink shirt, maybe it was just because he was so small, but the thought of wearing something pink like that just seemed too feminine for his tastes, besides, his shirt was basically a wearable blanket like this! No need to fix what isn't broken right?

"Mmm... you'll do fine. Honestly, I doubt you were going to do anything that productive anyways..." She mused, before picking her up effortlessly and placing her on the bed as she began to dress her up. "Girly?" Mihari commented, sliding the shirt over her body "Have you seen yourself in the mirror? I don't think people will know the difference... those clothes you're wearing right now don't even count as clothes on you. It's more like a bundle of cloth now - that's pretty unacceptable."

"Alright, there." She said, as she began sliding the pants up the girl. She, unfortunately, couldn't find any underwear that would fit her for now, but this was only temporary anyways - she'll have to find something else for her brother afterwards. Mihari must admit, while she always wanted to have a younger sister, this wasn't exactly what she'd had in mind... but it wasn't the worst outcome to have happened. "How'd you feel?"
