Bowen Waters had been born out of wedlock between two peasants in the Crownlands of Westeros. His father had left him at a young age, and his mother had died of greyscale soon after. He had spent most of his life on the move, going across the Seven Kingdoms to take work wherever he could find it. Now, just after his eighteenth nameday, he had come to King's Landing, the capital city.

One Cersei Lannister was walking amongst the trash and filth that were common folk, disguised so that she may buy produce in person. Recently she was in a crisis over wanting to bear children, but never having the time nor the other half to do so.

(How was that? I know you said Ruthless but I don’t know her view on common folk)

(You did fairly well. Her view is not favorable, as you can imagine)

Indeed, her late husband, Robert Baratheon, had never been kind to her, having a string of extramarital affairs and siring numerous bastards across the realm. And in the years following his death in a hunting accident, she had seen the deaths of her children Joffrey, Myrcella, and Tommen. Some would argue her own cruelty and conniving had sowed her misfortune. But some would argue she had suffered enough.

Shortly after entering the city, Bowen made his way to the Street of Steel, hoping the city blacksmiths might have work for him.

[Neran]

Indeed, normally she wouldn’t be amongst the common folk for fear of catching their filth ridden diseases, but she just needed something, anything to get her kind of her boredom and dread. Was this what her life was to be? Simply ruling and fighting? Sure she enjoyed it, but then she looked around and saw the commoners. For all their lack of value and worth, they were happy.

As much as she loathed to admit it, they knew more about being happy than she did. Being ruthless like a riding a fast horse. Over time it just got… boring. She needed something else.

Bowen rode his faithful stallion Swiftness all the way to the Street of Steel, eyes open for any sign of anyone looking for work. At one point, he realized almost too late that he was about to collide with a hooded woman.

"Terribly sorry, milady," he said as he reigned up Swiftness.

[Neran]

She stood off to the side as she saw the horse coming in as she kept her face covered. (Insolent peasant…) She thought as she looked him over. He seemed fit enough, more so than the average commoner. “Do watch where you’re going.”

"I shall," he assured, bowing his head in reverence, "I did not mean to disturb you. I just arrived in town today, and I'm looking for work. One thing my mother told me just before she died is that you must always do your best to help others however you can."

[Neran]

She rolled her eyes at the way he carried himself. Before she thought of something. He was quite beneath him. Almost like an… infant. So easily crushed. “…No mother you say? Would you say you’re alone in the world?”

"Alas, I am," Bowen admitted, "I've learned to fend for myself. It's been difficult, but I manage. Still, it might be nice to have someplace to call my home."

[Neran]

“…Thatlk work.” She said before she stabbed him in the shoulder. The knife was soaked in poison that wouldn’t kill him, but it would knock for him a considerable amount of time. “Night.”
