3 took the ice pack and placed it onto her face. It seems that 8 had completely forgotten that her laptop still had the windows of all of those diaper images still up and available for anyone to see. "Uh, thanks, 8," she said, "I just came up here to see how you are doing. That's all."

"Ah. Okay... Well I'm doing as well as I can, as you can see." 8 said sheepishly. Now that she was fully awake, she scanned the room for any oddities that might explain 3's kinda nervous behavior. She then saw that he laptop was open and the tabs wer open as well! 'Oh No, 3's going to hate me for this isn't she.' She thought as her eyes welled up with tears as her face grew pink.

3 noticed how 8 was in full alert mode. Being on missions and such taught the Inkling for any signs from her fellow teammates. The girl rubbed the back of her head and gave out a little blush. She was as flustered over this as much as the Octoling. "Um....I think I know what is on your mind," 3 stated, a little reluctant to speak further of the matter.

The tears in 8's eyes start leaking out as her lip starts to quiver. 8's breathing quickens as her thoughts spiral, causing her to panic even more. "She knows! She knows! Now 3 won't want to be my friend, s-she's going to tell everyone, I-I'll be hated and a laughing stock. I-I d-don't want to b-be alone again. I....I...." 8 accidentally thinks out loud as she hugs her knees to her chest and curls up into a ball on the floor, starting to tremble and sob between paniced breaths.

"Calm down, please," 3 spoke, seeing the Octoling curling up on the floor. Now she had to say something. It would be embarrassing for her but she had to at least say something to calm 8 down. "I....I uh...yes, I saw all that stuff on your laptop but....," 3 spoke, her cheeks flustered, "But I don't think any less of you, 8. Honest."

"Y-You don't? R-Really? You truly don't think I-I'm weird..." 8 sniffled out, her chest hurting from the forceful sobs that had racked her body during her panic. (Can u have 3 comfort 8 some more, just have 3 give her a hug okay.)

3 just got right up and hugged onto 8, patting her on her back. "Don't worry," she calmed her friend, "So you got a secret. That's alright with me. Although, this secret is unlike anything I have dealt with before. Still...I think...it's a little cute." The Inkling blushed, but still giving out a little smile towards 8.

"Y-You think its cute?!" 8 said in awe at how kind her friend was towards her. 8 returned the hug and rested her face against 3's shoulder while saying a manta of Thank you's. After a few minutes 8 calmed down and sat up to look at 3. "W-Well I suppose you'd like an explaination 3. Well I don't know anything of my past, and that inculdes my childhood. So my only memeories were of t-that dreaded place and after a night of meaningless searches I found out about a community of others called Adult babies. T-The premiss of the clothing is to make you feel younger and for it to be relaxing, and I was hooked. You see 3, this is like my chance to have the childhood that I never got to experience. But I still don't have any of those supplies, besides a pacifier, since my current job barely allows me to pay for my rent and have some food on the table. My job stinks too, as my boss and two of my co-workers found out I'm an Octoling and my boss doesn't pay me as much as the others and those two co-workers either force me to do their shifts or do some.... unsavory things for them so they don't spill my secret. I-I'm just so tried and stressed out 3 and I don't know what to do! I-I'm sorry I'm throwing this on you so suddenly, since I am only talking about it cauae I only had 3 hours of sleep but that is besides the point, because I don't know what else I can do but this 3. Please, I-I need your help 3." 8 pleaded with her friend, as she let go of the anxieties, bad thoughts, and worries that had plagued her mind for weeks.

3 just sat down and listened to 8's explanation. It did sadden her that the Octoling still had no memory of her past before waking up in that deep, underground heckhole that was a subway line. Then again, living in Octo Valley or Octo Canyon wasn't that pleasant so even if 8 had her memories things probably wouldn't be pleasant for her either way. 3 was a bit miffed about how her friend was treated at work. Despite Inklings and Octolings living together peacefully there were still some denizens feeling sore spots, mostly those of the older generation. "Well if you need my help that badly I suppose I can do you a favor, though I might need to gather some things first and for that I need a bit of time," 3 explained.

8 smiled at the Inkling. "Thank you 3. This means a lot to me you know. Well, there are two things that I'd like to do more than anything else. That's get a new home or appartment and a new job. Hey, do you mind if I crash at your place for a while? Since I'd like to get some sleep, but only if it is okay with you." 8 said before yawning.
