What are your thoughts of the whole punishment/rehabilitation/protection element for Prince John being diapered as well? Does that work for you?

How are we playing Prince John? With him still in power? Or being punished for pretending to be the king?

I think the reasoning for him being diapered definitely makes sense, especially the way he sleeps.

I was imagining afterwards, with his coup foiled, as a mixture of both punishment, but also trying to rehabilitate him, so compassion and love. Of course you might wonder how that fits necessarily with ideas for Robin and Marian. Well, they have a role in doing it to/for him. But that can easily happen after the rescue plot, if you still want to go there.

Now, my family and I are about to go out for dinner, so this is something to think over.

Robin and Marian would have nothing to do with the prince. In the movie he was jailed, but we could say that even in jail he's given a bed and helped with his problem.

I know all that, but what I was suggesting was basically an alternate ending to that.

If you want your "rescue Marian from kidnapping" plot to be included as well, we could also put this as an alternate climax to movie as well, in that Prince John makes a move after the jailbreak/gold heist ends slightly differently with everyone out before the gates close, for example, and the move on Marian is escalation to force a final resolution. And that the punishment/rehabilitation ending is an alternative to the chain gang. Can you work with that?

Are you saying that not everyone makes it out on the escape? I don't remember the end of movie 100% but I do remember the giant gold heist where they are being sent along the wires and everything.

I figured rescuing Marian could potentially be a recurring them to keep the rp going. If we go straight for Prince John being punished and rehabilitated, what would Robin and Marian do?

Also, who is going to be the one looking after Prince John?

Well, during the escape to catch the youngest of Skippy's siblings Robin gets out to get the kid out, and of course is trapped in the vicinity of the castle when the gates close, leading to the whole part of the dive from the burning tower. So the idea would to change that part.

I certainly agree with the rescuing Marian as a potential recurring thing to have her and Robin involved and add tension.

As for who looks after Prince John, I would imagine that a servant gets wrangled into doing so. Maybe a hybrid of characteristics of your Matt character with ideas and personality traits I come up with, befitting a female, as I'd imagine it would be.

So what would be different during the part where Robin is nearly trapped but is able to dive into the moat? I don't quite understand what you were suggesting.

Awkwardly there really are no servants in the castle for Prince John. There's the sheriff, his snake, and the hen that tends to Marian. But you would want possibly a character like mine? I assume you mean personality, but we'd have to work out the species of animal. And would you be playing that role?

I'm referring to specifically that the burning tower and dive from it doesn't happen at all. Everyone completely escapes the vicinity of the castle, so that part doesn't happen. But in retribution, Prince John ups the stakes by kidnapping Marian.

Yes, I know the movie doesn't seem to show servants, but logically, there would be. The idea is that a female character, I don't know what species yet, effectively takes care of Prince John and his needs. Basically she would have some elements of your character, but also elements and personality traits that I also come up with.
